Sarasalaya School of Bharathanatyam honoured Chinnamanur J. Krishna Kumar with "Platinum Jubilee Celebration Award" with Title "Swayam Prakasha Narthaka" in Chennai.
Swarnakamal Award, New Delhi, 02.02.2019:
Received Swarna Kamal Award from Shri.Alphons Joseph Kannanthanam (Rajyasabha M.P.), Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism at a formal event at A.P.Shinde Auditorium, NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi organised by the World Divine Conclave. Shri.Burra Venkatesham IAS, Principle Secretary, Tourism, Culture & Youth advancement - Govt of Telangana; Shri.Sanjay Singh (Rajya Sabha M.P.); Padmashree D.R.Karthikeyan IPS, Former Director of Central Beureu of Investigation (CBI) and others were present. The award is presented to him for his exceptional 25 years of service in the Classical Dance - Bharathanatyam and popularising Bharathanatyam by performing in more 15 countries. Chinamanur J.Krishna Kumar became the First male classical dancer from Chennai receiving this honor.
